Anthony Davis has sustained ligament damage in his left hand and could be ruled out at least through the February 5th NBA trade deadline. Davis will seek a second opinion on whether he needs surgery, which would mean he’d miss even additional time than the current six-week timeline.
Davis suffered the injury in Thursday’s game.
Davis has been on the trade block this season by the Dallas Mavericks, but his market has been fairly tepid with a move in the offseason considered a greater possibility.
Previously this season Davis was out for several weeks with a calf strain.
Davis is due $58.5 million next season and has a player option for $62.8 million in 2027-28.
