Everybody’s Predicting the Same About Luka Doncic’s Return to Dallas

April 9, 2025 by The Spun

Meet The Girlfriend Of Luka Doncic (1:31)

Over two months after his shocking trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, Luka Doncic will return to Dallas on Wednesday to face the Mavericks for the first time at the American Airlines Center.

After six and a half seasons in Dallas, he played 422 games and averaged 28.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per outing, shooting 47% from the field, 34.8% from beyond the arc and 74.8% from the free-throw line.

The Lakers will first clash with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday before heading to Dallas, but fans are already firing up Doncic’s return to his former city.

Luka Doncic is expected to have a huge game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

After X account Legion Hoops hyped up this matchup, plenty of fans had the same reaction, predicting a lopsided win for the Lakers and an impressive performance from Doncic.

“Luka about to drop 70 again,” one fan said.

“Luka dropping 50 on their heads 😤,” another fan said.

“Luka is going for 70 if he plays,” a third fan said.

“Luka droppin 60 in his return,” a fourth fan predicted.

“Lakers about to win by 40,” a fifth fan wrote.

“Luka’s gonna cook ’em 🔥,” a sixth fan added.

In his first game against the Mavericks, Doncic recorded a triple-double (19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists), leading the Lakers to a 107-99 win. The prior matchup makes fans believe the Mavs will have a long night trying to stop their former star.

That said, Doncic is questionable for tonight’s game against the Thunder with a groin strain.
The expectations around this game are high, but there’s a possibility that fans will have to wait until a potential playoff series or next season to see Doncic back in Dallas.
