Kyrie Irving could make his return from injury as early as January 2026, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.
Irving, who tore his ACL last season, signed a new three-year, $119 million deal with the Mavs on Tuesday.
Executives believe that Irving was on pace to sign a deal between $50-$60 million per season before the ACL injury.
With Irving’s contract opening up a $5.7 million taxpayer midlevel exception, the Mavs are looking at signing Dennis Schroder, D’Angelo Russell, Chris Paul, or Malcolm Brogdon.
