Mark Cuban Praised For ‘Classy’ Reaction To The Election Results

November 6, 2024 by The Spun

Sacramento Kings Owner’s Daughter Is Dating Former NBA Player (1:23)

When it comes to politics, Mark Cuban has made it abundantly clear that he’s not a huge fan of Donald Trump. And yet, he actually congratulated him on winning the 2024 presidential election.

Cuban has taken plenty of shots at Trump during this year’s election cycle. He said the 45th president of the United States is a liar, he accused the mainstream media of protecting him, and he made it known that he’ll be supporting Kamala Harris through thick and thin.

“Kamala Harris is not falling in line with Democratic Party Policies,” Cuban said. “Kamala Harris is defining her own policies, and the Democratic Party is falling in line with her. She literally is redefining the party.”

Unfortunately for Cuban, the presidential election didn’t go his way. Trump outperformed Harris in every battleground state, allowing him to cruise past 270 electoral votes. Once the race was called, the minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks showed that he’s a class act.

“Congrats @realDonaldTrump,” Cuban wrote on X. “You won fair and square. Congrats to @elonmusk as well.”

For the most part, people applauded Cuban for acknowledging Trump as the next president of the United States.

“Much respect to Mark Cuban for acknowledging this,” one person commented

“I’ll give it to Mark Cuban, what a great NBA team he runs. Super happy Trump won, but I respect humility,” another person wrote on X.

“I respect @mcuban for this,” a third person tweeted. “I highly doubt you’ll see anyone else post this.”

“FYI: this is what character looks like,” a social media user said.

Cuban won’t just magically become a Trump supporter overnight, but the fact that he’s graceful in defeat is quite telling.

Hopefully, the entire country can unite during these uncertain times. The last thing we need is more division.
