The Dallas Mavericks were granted disabled player exceptions for Dereck Lively and Dante Exum on Wednesday, according to Jake Fischer of The People’s Insider.
Lively is currently out for the year with a foot injury, while Exum is dealing with a knee injury.
The Mavs will get a $2.6 million DPE for Lively and a $1.1 million DPE for Exum. The team is currently less than $1.3 million under their second-apron hard cap.
Anthony Davis is reportedly a prime trade target for the Hawks.
