Isaiah Thomas‘ has signed another 10-day hardship deal. On Wednesday, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that Thomas found a new basketball home in Dallas.

“Free agent guard Isaiah Thomas plans to sign with the Dallas Mavericks,” Charania tweeted. “Thomas is expected to join team in Sacramento tonight.”

IT recently found himself back on the NBA hardwood via a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Not too long ago, it felt like the basketball world gave up on the two-time All-Star.

On Wednesday, NBA Twitter reacted to Mavericks latest signing.

“I love it,” replied one fan. “Give IT a REAL shot!”

“I hope he scores 40,” commented KTVB sports director Jay Tust.

“The IT ovation may very well be the best moment of the year at G1C,” tweeted morning show host Carmichael Dave.

Isaiah Thomas began his career with the Kings as a second-round pick out of Washington. The undersized PG quickly turned heads with his scoring and playmaking ability, averaging 20 points per game by year three.

Now the former All-NBA guard returns to where it all started after grinding to get back to the league he once called home. Hopefully IT gets the chance to be one of the NBA’s best spark plugs once again with the Mavs.
