The Denver Nuggets have received permission from the Dallas Mavericks to interview Jared Dudley for an assistant coach position under David Adelman. Dudley has also received interest from the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers. Dudley was also a candidate for the Phoenix Suns’ head coaching job.
Dudley joined Jason Kidd’s coaching staff with the Mavericks in 2021 after he retired from his playing career. Dudley was drafted in 2007 out of Boston College by the-then Charlotte Bobcats and played 14 seasons in the NBA.
The Mavericks have also lost Sean Sweeney and God Shammgod this offseason from their coaching staff.
Adelman is beginning his first full season as head coach of the Nuggets after replacing Michael Malone.
