The Frogs will look to defend their Big 12 regular season title in 2025.
Eric Bell and TCU Soccer will be the first TCU program to start their 2025 season as they are set to take on Pepperdine in less than a month. The Frogs are looking to build off of an excellent 2024 season that saw them win a Big 12 regular season title and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. TCU returned a solid amount of talent from 2024 and made a few key additions via the transfer portal that should set them up to compete for another Big 12 Championship and be a threat at the national level.
Schedule Overview
The Frogs start their 2025 season in Fort Worth with a matchup against Pepperdine on Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. A three-game road trip will follow that game as TCU will play away games at UTSA, Iowa, and Texas. Both Iowa and Texas were top 25 teams to close out 2024 and will present two tough challenges for the Frogs early in the season.
The Frogs will close out their non-conference schedule with three home games, the first of which being against Northwestern on Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. In-state rival Texas A&M will travel to Fort Worth to face off against the Frogs later that week on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. On Sept. 12, TCU will take on Gonzaga to close out the non-conference slate.
The Frogs will host a Utah team that finished in the middle of the conference in 2024 to open the Big 12 schedule on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. A trip to Manhattan, Kansas will follow as TCU will face off against Kansas State which finished dead last in the Big 12 last season. The Frogs will stay in the Sunflower State for their next game as TCU will face off against Kansas on Sept. 28 at noon.
The Frogs will next return to Fort Worth for a game against Colorado on Oct. 2 and a game against Iowa State on Oct. 5. Perhaps the toughest test of the conference schedule for the Frogs will be a trip to Lubbock on October 10th to face off against a Texas Tech team that finished second in the Big 12 last season. TCU will take on Baylor at home before another tough potential matchup against Oklahoma State in Fort Worth as OSU finished top five in the Big 12 in 2024 and projects to be a tough opponent in 2025.
TCU will travel west for their next two games on the road in Tucson and Tempe against Arizona and Arizona State respectively. The Frogs will close out their regular season with a home game against Houston on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.

Key Returners
Senior forward and 2024 Fourth Team All-American Seven Castain is back to help lead the Horned Frog attack. Castain tied for the lead in goals for the Frogs in 2024 with 13 to go along with six assists. 2024 Second Team All-American forward Bella Diorio returns for her junior season and should be a big part of TCU’s offense again in 2025. Diorio was third on the team in goals with 11 and shots on goal with 27.
With the graduation of primary goalkeeper Megan Plaschko, expect sophomore keeper Olivia Geller to see more playing time after showing solid flashes of potential in 2024. Midfielder Morgan Brown will look to build off a solid 2024 season where she tallied four goals and two assists. Forward AJ Hennessey will be an important contributor after adding four goals and two assists of her own in 2024. The Frogs return plenty of firepower from last season who should lead a talented team in 2025.
Key Additions
The Frogs added two veteran goal keepers via the transfer portal in Claireese Foley and Kira Ybarra from Miami and San Francisco respectively. Ybarra joins the Frogs with 39 career starts and 10 career shutouts while Foley made 11 starts for the Hurricanes in 2024, collecting three shutouts along the way. With Geller and the two transfers, the Frogs have plenty of reliable depth at goal keeper and should have solid performances at the position in 2025.
Arguably the biggest addition the Frogs made this offseason was securing the commitment of former Texas A&M midfielder Sydney Becerra. Becarra was named Second Team All SEC last season and tallied six goals and five assists for the Aggies in 2024. Defender Quinn Cornog was the second former Aggie to transfer to TCU this offseason after collecting four goals and five assists during her time at Texas A&M.
Midfielder Georgia Leb was the next former Aggie to make her way to Fort Worth this offseason. The Colleyville, Texas native recorded two goals and five assists during her time in College Station. Defender Katana Norman was named First-Team All-WCC while playing for Portland in 2024 before transferring to TCU this offseason.

Overall
Head coach Eric Bell has put together yet another very talented roster that has plenty of veteran talent up front and a solid group of defenders on the back end. The Frogs should be a favorite to defend their Big 12 title and should be in contention to host NCAA Tournament games come November.
