The Horned Frogs finish the season with a 39-20 record after losses against USC and Oregon State.
A runner-up finish in the Big 12 Conference baseball tournament had the TCU Horned Frogs on the bubble of hosting an NCAA Regional this postseason. TCU was ultimately tabbed as a No. 2 seed for the Corvallis Regional, where the Horned Frogs saw their season fizzle out after back-to-back disappointing losses against USC and Oregon State. It was a bitter end to a promising 2025 campaign for the Horned Frogs (39-20, 19-11 Big 12), who took third in the Big 12 during the regular season after not qualifying for the NCAA tournament in 2024.
The TCU offense sputtered during regional play, generating just three runs over two games. Pitching woes continued into the postseason, where the Horned Frogs issued six walks during their loss to the Beavers after allowing 14 hits and nine walks in a lopsided defeat against USC. With the 2025 season now complete, TCU will shift its focus to the offseason, where the Horned Frogs could see draft-eligible veterans like Anthony Silva, Karson Bowen and others depart for the MLB. Eyes will be on players entering and arriving via the transfer portal as well.
Friday: USC 13, TCU 1
Freshman Sawyer Strosnider accounted for the lone TCU run against the Trojans, belting a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning. But the regional opener was all USC, who tagged TCU starter Tommy LaPour for three runs on six hits over the first three innings to build a 3-1 lead over four frames. Louis Rodriguez entered in relief, but the right-hander was unable to contain the USC offense, surrendering three runs on five hits over two and a third innings as the Trojans extended their lead.

The Horned Frogs, who played the entire regional without injured starting catcher/first baseman Karson Bowen, committed two errors and finished with just five hits in the loss to the Trojans, who scored three runs in the seventh inning before adding on four runs during the ninth inning to seal their victory. Kaden Smith allowed the three seventh-inning runs without recording an out, while Mason Bixby walked four batters and gave up the four ninth-inning runs.
Saturday: Oregon State 7, TCU 2
The Horned Frogs faced the host Beavers on Saturday, but needing a win to keep the season alive, TCU found itself in a massive early hole, as Oregon State scratched all seven of its runs over the first three frames. The Beavers, who crushed four home runs in the game, bounced Horned Frog starter Mason Brassfield from the bump after just one inning of work. Braeden Sloan entered in relief and struck out nine batters over five frames, but Oregon State capitalized on three walks and a pair of homers to extend its lead.

Isaac Cadena’s two-run homer in the fifth inning was all for the Horned Frog offense, which mustered six hits in the loss to the Beavers. Caedmon Parker fired shutout eighth and ninth frames for the Horned Frogs.
