
Former TCU linebacker Jason Phillips was a four-time All-MWC selection during his time in Fort Worth.

39 – Jason Phillips (Linebacker – 2004-08)
Phillips played high school football for his father, Jim, and played all three phases, serving as quarterback, long snapper and linebacker at Waller High School. Phillips was named to the All-Mountain West Conference team four times over his five years with the Horned Frogs. Phillips, who redshirted in 2004, earned All-MWC Second Team honors in 2005 and 2007 as well as All-MWC First Team honors in 2006 and 2008. Born in Waller, Texas, Phillips amassed 315 total tackles, 39 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks and two interceptions at TCU.
Phillips, who became the first freshman to ever be named to the All-MWC team after moving from fullback to linebacker in 2005, was taken by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Phillips played six NFL seasons with three teams and totaled 31 tackles over 29 career games. Phillips, who forced two fumbles during his NFL career, played for the Ravens from 2009-11 before making stops with the Carolina Panthers (2011-12) and Philadelphia Eagles (2013). Phillips was inducted into the TCU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.
