
Former TCU linebacker Daryl Washington was a First-Team All-American during the 2009 season.

41 – Daryl Washington (Linebacker – 2006-09)
Washington played in 50 games over four seasons with the Horned Frogs, recording 220 total tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks over that span. The Dallas native became a significant special teams contributor as a freshman and blocked three punts during his sophomore season in 2007. Washington took on a bigger role defensively during his junior season in 2008, earning a start during the Poinsettia Bowl and helping TCU defeat Boise State. Washington ascended to All-American and All-Mountain West First Team status as a senior in 2009, when he totaled a career-high 109 total tackles and 11 tackles for loss.
Washington was picked by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft and played four full seasons for the franchise. Washington’s NFL career peaked in 2012, when he was named a Pro Bowler and a Second-Team All-Pro after compiling 134 total tackles and nine sacks over 16 games. Washington concluded his career with 394 total tackles, 18 sacks, six interceptions, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries.
