
Former TCU linebacker Ty Summers was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2019.

42 – Ty Summers (Linebacker – 2014-18)
A three-time All-Big 12 honoree and an Honorable Mention for the Big 12’s Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2015, Summers racked up 315 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and 11 pass breakups over his five years at TCU. Summers, who posted a career-high 121 total tackles during his redshirt sophomore season in 2016, was named a semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award as a redshirt senior in 2018. Summers was taken in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.
As a professional linebacker, Summers spent four seasons with the Packers. The San Antonio native has played for five NFL teams including the Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions and New York Giants. Summers, who signed with the Giants in 2024 and is still with the team, has played in 83 career games and has 89 total tackles to his name. Summers has taken on roles defensively and on special teams during his NFL career.
