Former TCU kicker Jonathan Song made 40 of his 44 field-goal attempts and holds the school’s record for that mark.
The TCU Horned Frogs are less than 50 days from kicking off the 2025 football season with a nonconference road matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels and new head coach Bill Belichick. As we count down the days until kickoff, we’ll highlight a former (or current) Horned Frog whose jersey number represents the number of days left until the opener.

46 – Jonathan Song (Kicker – 2015-19)
TCU’s all-time record holder and the most accurate kicker in school history, Song went 40 for 44 on field-goal attempts (90.9 percent) over his five years with the Horned Frogs. The Fort Worth native, who converted all eight of his field goals as a redshirt sophomore in 2017, played in 34 career games and was an All-Big 12 First Team honoree in 2019, when he was named a Lou Groza Award Semifinalist. Song missed just one field goal that season, going 23 for 24 (95.8 percent) and a perfect 39 for 39 on PATs. Song, who holds a career long of 46 yards, was named to the Academic All-Big 12 team three times in his time at TCU.
