Former TCU offensive lineman Joey Hunt was a two-time All-Big 12 center who was taken in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
The TCU Horned Frogs are less than 100 days from kicking off the 2025 football season with a nonconference road matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels and new head coach Bill Belichick. As we count down the days until kickoff, we’ll highlight a former (or current) Horned Frog whose jersey number represents the number of days left until the opener.

55 – Joey Hunt (Offensive Lineman – 2012-15)
A three-year starter on the offensive line for the Horned Frogs, Hunt played center and received All-Big 12 honors twice. After being named to the All-Big 12 Second Team in 2014, Hunt earned All-Big 12 First Team recognition in 2015, when TCU won 11 games including a comeback over Oregon during the Alamo Bowl. The El Campo, Texas native played in 42 games and made 35 starts over his four seasons with the Horned Frogs.
Hunt was selected in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Over his eight-year NFL career, which included stints with Seattle (2016-19 and 2022-23) and the Indianapolis Colts (2020-21), Hunt appeared in 35 games and made 11 starts. His brother, Cole, played tight end for the Horned Frogs and had a brief professional career with the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers.
