TCU offensive lineman Ben Taylor-Whitfield is set to enter his junior season with the Horned Frogs this fall.
The TCU Horned Frogs are less than 100 days from kicking off the 2025 football season with a nonconference road matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels and new head coach Bill Belichick. As we count down the days until kickoff, we’ll highlight a former (or current) Horned Frog whose jersey number represents the number of days left until the opener.

56 – Ben Taylor-Whitfield (Offensive Lineman – 2023-Present)
Taylor-Whitfield emerged during his first season with the Horned Frogs, becoming the program’s first true freshman to earn a start on the offensive line since Aviante Collins, who went on to play multiple NFL seasons. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder from Duncanville, Texas has appeared in 23 games over two years in Fort Worth and has started nine games at right tackle in 2024 and figures to be in the mix for starting reps in the trenches this fall.
A former three-star recruit out of high school, Taylor-Whitfield played 268 snaps as a true freshman and 694 snaps as a sophomore in 2025. Now entering his junior year with the Horned Frogs, Taylor-Whitfield will look to help TCU continued its upward trend after a 9-4 season last fall.
