TCU offensive lineman Cade Bennett will be back in action after missing the 2024 season to a back injury.
The TCU Horned Frogs are less than 100 days from kicking off the 2025 football season with a nonconference road matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels and new head coach Bill Belichick. As we count down the days until kickoff, we’ll highlight a former (or current) Horned Frog whose jersey number represents the number of days left until the opener.

60 – Cade Bennett (Offensive Lineman – 2020-25)
Our first inclusion of a current TCU athlete, Bennett transferred in from San Diego State and was expected to fill a role in the starting lineup last season, but a back injury resulted in surgery that forced him to take a redshirt. Now healthy, Bennett will once again compete for a starting spot with the Horned Frogs, who are losing a trio of offensive linemen from 2024 including All-Big 12 Honorable Mentions Bless Harris and James Brockermeyer.
Bennett arrived in Fort Worth after taking home consecutive All-Mountain West Second Team honors during the 2022 and 2023 seasons at San Diego State. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder from Scottsdale, Arizona started 23 games at left guard over those two years and was named San Diego State’s Best Offensive Lineman in 2023. A three-star prospect out of high school, Bennett started his career at Oklahoma State, where he spent two years before transferring to the Aztecs.
