Former TCU offensive lineman Brandon Coleman was taken in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The TCU Horned Frogs are less than 100 days from kicking off the 2025 football season with a nonconference road matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels and new head coach Bill Belichick. As we count down the days until kickoff, we’ll highlight a former (or current) Horned Frog whose jersey number represents the number of days left until the opener.

77 – Brandon Coleman (Offensive Lineman – 2020-23)
Coleman arrived in Fort Worth after one season with Trinity Valley Community College. A three-star JUCO recruit, Coleman went on to play in 41 games and become a starter during the 2021 season. Coleman, who moved to the United States from Germany when he was 15 years old to pursue a college basketball scholarship, started eight games at guard in 2021 before kicking outside to left tackle, where he started 15 times during TCU’s magical 2022 run to the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Coleman played 1,036 snaps during the 2022 season, second only to former teammate and current Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Steve Avila. As a senior, Coleman became a team captain in 2023, making 11 starts including seven at left tackle and four at left guard. Coleman was named an All-Big 12 Second Team honoree in 2023 and was drafted in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.
