
Former TCU offensive lineman Michael Keathley played in 36 NFL games and made four starts.
The TCU Horned Frogs are less than 100 days from kicking off the 2025 football season with a nonconference road matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels and new head coach Bill Belichick. As we count down the days until kickoff, we’ll highlight a former (or current) Horned Frog whose jersey number represents the number of days left until the opener.

52 – Michael Keathley (1997-2000)
The Arlington, Texas native played offensive tackle for the Horned Frogs and was a three-time All-WAC honoree between 1998 and 2000. Keathley, who helped create running lanes for future Hall of Fame back LaDainian Tomlinson, signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent and played in 36 NFL games, making four starts. Keathley played for the Chargers from 2001 to 2002 and returned to San Diego in 2003 after a brief stint with the Houston Texans. Keathley’s career concluded after a stint with the Chicago Bears in 2004. Keathley was inducted into the TCU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.
