
The Horned Frogs add a big piece in the trenches
As TCU Football was hosting the massive DFW Showcase camp over the weekend it picked up a major recruiting win with four-star offensive lineman Vincent Johnson, Jr. announcing his commitment to the Horned Frogs. The towering 6-foot-5, 310 pound offensive tackle out of Sulphur Springs, TX selected TCU over offers from Kansas State, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M among others.

Johnson Jr becomes the eighth member of TCU’s 2026 recruiting class and the second offensive lineman, joining Jordan Burnett up front. Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, Johnson Jr. ranks as the no. 29 offensive tackle in the class a a top-40 player overall in the state of Texas. The Horned Frogs’ 2026 class currently ranks 47th nationally and eighth in the Big 12.
