
The Horned Frogs are now up to 11 recruits after scoring a talented prospect from Conroe, Texas.
TCU football is gaining steam on the recruiting trail, nabbing four commitments this month including a pledge from Oak Ridge three-star wide receiver James Scott, who announced his decision to choose the Horned Frogs on Thursday. The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder from Conroe, Texas picked TCU over Houston, Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State and more. Scott, who plays his high school football at Oak Ridge, recorded 22 catches for 335 yards and three touchdowns over four games during his junior season in 2024, per MaxPreps.

Scott nabbed 11 catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns over three games as a sophomore in 2023. Scott, who also competes in track and field at Oak Ridge, becomes the 11th recruit and the first wide receiver of the 2026 class for the Horned Frogs. who now have the No. 42 ranked class in the nation under the 247Sports ratings. TCU is reloading at wide receiver after losing a trio of players to the NFL in Jack Bech, Savion Williams and JP Richardson. The Horned Frogs brought in Joseph Manjack IV (Houston) and Jordan Dwyer (Idaho) over the offseason.
