The 6’ 3”, 264 lbs defensive lineman was a four-star high school prospect, ranking as the 14th best defensive end in the nation and number 26th overall in the state of Texas in the Class of 2019. As a transfer prospect, he ranks as a top-ten defensive lineman and top 80 overall player in the transfer portal, per 247Sports.
Osafo-Mensah will have opportunity to contribute immediately in 2024 for TCU, as the Horned Frogs lost defensive lineman Rick D’Abreu, Trenton Dickey, Soni Misi to graduation and highly touted Edge prospect Jonathan Bax to the transfer portal. He is the second member of the TCU transfer class, joining Louisiana Tech OL Carson Bruno.
Here are all six sacks from the Notre Dame defense on Caleb Williams.
Common thread: Team effort. Outside of freshman Boubacar Traore blowing by USC’s right tackle, all of these takedowns have multiple Irish players in the Trojans’ backfield.
