
Port Arthur Memorial running back Amante Martin & cornerback Brock King announce commitment to Horned Frogs
July 4 was a day of fireworks for TCU Football on the recruiting trail, continuing its summer hot streak by picking up commitment from three-star defensive back Brock King and three-star running back Amante Martin. The two newest Horned Frogs are high school teammates at Port Arthur Memorial and bring the TCU 2026 class to 18 total members, now ranked 34th overall nationally per 247Sports.

The day’s first commitment came on the defensive side of the ball from 5-foot-9 178-pound cornerback Brock King. King ranks as the No. 114 CB in the 2026 Class, choosing the Horned Frogs over offers from Baylor, SMU, Texas, Oregon, among others. With verified track speed, King was a first team All District Texas 9-5A. He becomes the second cornerback of the class, joining four-star Jason Bradford who committed last month.

The afternoon brought more good news out of Port Arthur for the Horned Frogs with the commitment announcement from high three-star running back Amante Martin. The 6-foot, 185 pound powerful runner and member of the Memorial track squad ranks as the No. 28-ranked running back prospect in the class and 64th overall player from the state of Texas per 247Sports. Holding 18 reported offers, Martin selected the Horned Frogs out of a Top Five that included Tulsa, Kansas, Houston, and Kentucky. Martin is the second RB headed to Fort Worth in the 2026 Class, joining San Antonio speedster G’Ivori Graham.
