Another Horned Frog will be heading out west.
The 2024 NFL Draft concluded on Saturday afternoon with three TCU Horned Frogs including offensive lineman Brandon Coleman, tight end Jared Wiley and cornerback Josh Newton hearing their names called. The fun wasn’t over when the draft ended, however, as multiple TCU athletes signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents. That includes offensive lineman Willis Patrick, who has reportedly signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Patrick’s six-year collegiate career began at Division II Angelo State, where he earned All-American honors at the tackle position before transferring to Jackson State. Under former head coach Deion Sanders, Patrick became the team’s starting right tackle for three seasons. The 6-foot-4- 337-pounder finished his career at TCU, where he took over the team’s starting right guard role and played 978 snaps over 12 starts. Patrick received an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention as well as an AP Second-Team All-Big 12 designation.

Patrick will now suit up for the Chargers, who fired head coach Brandon Staley over the offseason and hired new head coach Jim Harbaugh, who won the College Football Playoff National Championship in his last season at Michigan. The Chargers drafted three TCU players last year including Quentin Johnston, Derius Davis and Max Duggan.
