The former four-star prospect and Ole Miss signal caller has one year of eligibility remaining.
While much of the spotlight during spring camp has been on the quarterback battle between Vanderbilt transfer Ken Seals and four-star freshman Hauss Hejny, TCU football did lose a signal caller to the transfer portal this past week. Former Ole Miss quarterback and four-star prospect Grant Tisdale, who was a sixth-year senior during the 2023 season, has entered the transfer portal after one season with the Horned Frogs. Tisdale only appeared in one game for TCU and arrived in Fort Worth after two years at Southeastern Louisiana.

Tisdale is a 6-foot, 226-pounder from Allen, Texas who was a four-star prospect out of high school. Tisdale started his career with Ole Miss, where he resided for two seasons before transferring to Cisco Junior College and eventually Southeastern Louisiana. Tisdale’s departure means the Horned Frogs are down to two quarterbacks on the 2024 roster who appeared in a college game last fall. Presumptive starter Josh Hoover has been sidelined for spring camp with an injury, but is expected to be cleared for the summer workout program.
