Hailey Van Lith Transfers to TCU, Teams Up with Haley Cavinder

July 26, 2025 by The Spun

After exploring her options for two weeks, Hailey Van Lith decided to transfer to TCU for her final season of college basketball.

Van Lith started her college career at Louisville, earning first-team All-ACC honors in 2022 and 2023. She then transferred to LSU hoping to win a national title.

Unfortunately for Van Lith, her production took a huge hit at LSU. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 11.6 points per game while shooting a career low 37.8 percent from the field. In her final year at Louisville, she averaged 19.7 points per contest.

Van Lith could have a bounce-back season at TCU. However, she’ll need to share a backcourt with Haley Cavinder. There’s no guarantee their games will mesh well together.

That being said, it’s very apparent that basketball fans are excited to see Van Lith and Cavinder join forces at TCU.

“Hailey van Lith and Haley Cavinder on the same team,” one fan tweeted.

“So Hailey Van Lith will be transferring to TCU next season, joining Haley Cavinder,” a second fan wrote. “I see what these Horned Frogs are doing.”

Another fan said, “Hailey Van Lith joining Haley Cavinder? This is gonna be the most online team ever.”

Cavinder and Van Lith have become household names due to their skills on the hardwood and their presence on social media.

Only time will tell if this star-studded duo can elevate TCU’s basketball program.
