The Horned Frogs add a fourth transfer for the 2024-25 season
TCU Men’s Basketball continues to rebuild its backcourt ahead of the 2024-25 season with former Kansas State guard R.J. Jones announcing his commitment to join the Horned Frogs after one season with the Wildcats. A four-star prospect in high school, the Denton native was one of the top rated players in the state of Texas in the 2023 Class, ranked as the No. 11 shooting guard and No. 77 overall per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Jones saw action ins 28 games during his true freshman campaign in Manhattan, contributing 2.4 points, 0.8 rebounds per game, and 0.7 assists in 9.0 minutes per game. His action increased later in the season, playing in 14 Big 12 games, including 9 points at Kansas and an overtime three-pointer to help upset Baylor. The 6-foot-3, 190 pound guard joins fellow transfer additions point guard Frankie Collins from Arizona State, shooting guard Noah Reynolds from Green Bay, and wing guard Brendan Wenzel from Wyoming.
