The sophomore will depart after only one season with the Horned Frogs.

TCU sophomore guard Vasean Allette reportedly intends to enter the transfer portal after only one season with the Horned Frogs. Allette averaged 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 37.5 percent from the floor. A former standout guard at Old Dominion, Allette becomes the first TCU men’s basketball player to enter the transfer portal this offseason. TCU failed to make the NCAA Tournament during the 2024-25 campaign, finishing with a 16-16 overall record and losing to Colorado in the Big 12 Tournament.

Allette appeared in 32 games with 25 starts for the Horned Frogs, who needed the Toronto, Ontario native to emerge after losing starting point guard Frankie Collins to an injury early in the season. Allette rallied off 10 consecutive double-digit scoring performances from Dec. 16 to Jan. 25. Prior to arriving in Fort Worth, Allette played at Old Dominion, where he averaged 17.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists before his dismissal from the program.
