The Horned Frogs and Jamie Dixon continue to bolster their backcourt.
The TCU men’s basketball roster continued to take form on Tuesday, with former Wyoming guard Brendan Wenzel announcing his commitment to play for the Horned Frogs next season. Wenzel is a former teammate of new TCU commit Noah Reynolds, who started his career at Wyoming before transferring to Green Bay for the last two seasons. Wenzel averaged 11.6 points and 5.1 rebounds for Wyoming during the 2023-24 season.

Wenzel started his career at Utah, where he appeared in two games before transferring to Wyoming. The 6-foot-7 sharpshooter from San Antonio, Texas was at Wyoming for three seasons, playing in 89 games with 66 starts over three years. Currently a senior, Wenzel shoots 39.4 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from 3-point range for his career. Wenzel is also a very good free-throw shooter, posting an 82.1 percent mark for his career.
Wenzel becomes the third player currently committed to the Horned Frogs through the transfer portal, joining Reynolds as well as former Arizona State guard Frankie Collins. The trio will look to mold a largely new 2024-25 roster that will welcome back a select few underclassmen such as Ernest Udeh Jr. and freshmen Isaiah Manning and Jace Posey.
