The veteran takes the Frog vs. Frog battle, advancing to showdown with Novak Djokovic in 4th Round
It was a rare and special occasion this weekend when British country mates and former TCU Tennis All-Americans Cam Norrie & Jake Fearnley faced each other in the Third Round of the French Open. Often interrupted by the fireworks and celebration at nearby Parc des Princes for the Champions League Final won by hometown Paris Saint-Germain. The Horned Frogs brought the fireworks to the clay courts as well where experience won over youth as Norrie, competing in his eighth French Open Tournament, took the match in straight sets over Fearnley, who had an excellent showing in his Roland Garros debut.

Fearnley, a key member of the 2024 TCU Tennis National Championship squad, has seen his ranking explode since completing his collegiate career, sitting No. 55 overall currently, a climb of 1,708 spots in under two years. He’s coming off a Third Round finish at the 2025 Australian Open and picked up his first Major win at Wimbledon in 2024. Fearnley also competed in Doubles at Roland Garros this year, reaching the Second Round with partner Gabriel Diallo and is set to continue his climb in the tennis world

It has been a welcome return to form for Norrie who had once reached No. 8 on the world rankings, now sits at No. 81 and has already earned a career-best French Open finish, reaching the Final 16 in Paris for the first time. His path to the quarterfinals will see him try to take down one of the titans of the sport, the six-seed Novak Djokovic. The Serbian superstar has been one of the world’s best for nearly two decades, winning 24 major championships, including three French Open titles. Norrie has had some epic battles vs. Djokovic over the years, but has not yet defeated the legend in five attempts. The Fourth Round contest will take place on Monday morning, broadcast on TBS, truTV, and the MAX app.
