TCU and SMU Football bring a combined 5-0 record into Saturday’s 100th meeting of the Battle for the Iron Skillet, and this is probably the best team the Ponies have brought to the table in well over a decade.
For the Horned Frogs, Saturday’s matchup is about pride (the Skillet has resided across the Metroplex for two years, thanks to last season’s cancellation) and person success — TCU is just outside the most recent AP Top 25 and a win Saturday would all but guarantee they would open Big 12 play as a ranked team.
