Prior to spending the 2023-24 season in Baton Rouge, Van Lith played three seasons at Louisville. She has led teams to at least the Elite 8 in each of her four collegiate seasons, earning a trip to the Final Four in 2022 and falling in the Elite 8 the previous two seasons at the hands of Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes. Van Lith averaged 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game with the Tigers last season, joining Kim Mulkey’s squad that was defending the 2023 National Championship and featured other prolific scorers like Aneesah Morrow, Flau’jae Johnson, and Angel Reese, the No. 7 overall draft pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. As the lead option for the Louisville Cardinals in 2022-23, she averaged just under 20 points per game. Van Lith has started 133 career games, with an average field goal percentage of 41.3%, while shooting 33.8% on three-point attempts and 84.5% from the free throw line.
Hailey Van Lith is added to a Horned Frogs roster that has center Sedona Prince retaining eligibility for a final collegiate season, is adding former Miami Hurricanes star guard Haley Cavinder after a year away from college basketball (Update: Haley Cavinder has since announced that she will instead re-join her Hanna sister at Miami next season) and returns sharpshooter Madison Conner along with 2023-24 starters Agnes Emma-Nnopu & Una Jovanovic. TCU is well positioned for another big step forward in season two under Coach Campbell in 2024-25. The national spotlight will certainly be shining on the program, featuring some of the game’s most prominent stars; Prince, Cavinder, and Van Lith have a combined social media following of over 9.8 million people across Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
