
The Horned Frogs start the season 8-0 after an 82-50 win over the Golden Hurricane.
A historic start to the 2023-24 season continued for the TCU women’s basketball team Friday evening, when the Horned Frogs returned from their St. Pete Showcase championship with a blowout win over Tulsa in nonconference action. Madison Conner entered Steph Curry mode, scoring a game-high 41 points and sinking a season-best 10 triples as the Horned Frogs dominated the Golden Hurricane for an 82-50 victory. The win moved TCU to 8-0 overall, clinching the best start in the history of the women’s program.

Sedona Prince added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Horned Frogs, while Jaden Owens flirted with a triple-double after recording a team-high 11 assists along with seven points and seven rebounds. TCU sank 14 triples and shot nearly 47 percent from the 3-point line in the game, which also saw the Horned Frogs score 20 points off 16 Tulsa turnovers. TCU held the Golden Hurricane to only eight points in the second quarter, where the Horned Frogs surged ahead and took a 37-21 halftime lead. Una Jovanovic chipped in seven points and four assists, while Agnes Emma-Nnopu compiled five points and five rebounds.

Despite opening the season with eight consecutive victories, the Horned Frogs have showed zero signs of slowing down. TCU controlled the second half against Tulsa, outscoring the Golden Hurricane 45-27. Aaliyah Roberson led the Horned Frog bench with five points and five rebounds, while Victoria Flores chipped in two points in the victory. TCU outrebounded Tulsa 40-31, dished out 21 total assists and snatched seven total steals.
