TCU will play the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights in the First Round, Champions of the Northeast Conference Tournament. The Knights finished the 2024-25 campaign with a 29-3 record, going a perfect 16-0 in NEC league play, winning the conference regular season and tournament crowns, earning the program’s first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.

After winning the Big 12 regular season and conference tournament, TCU earned its the first appearance in the Big Dance since 2010 and the program’s first ever opportunity to host NCAA Tournament contests. Schollmaier Arena will host games of the First Round on Friday March 21 and the the Second Round on Sunday March 23. The other R1 game held in Fort Worth will be between the 7-seed Louisville Cardinals (21-10, 13-5 ACC) vs. 10-seed Nebraska (21-11, 10-8 Big Ten), with the winner taking on the winner of TCU-FDU in the Second Round. This sets up a potential matchup between the Horned Frogs and Cardinals, pitting Big 12 Player of the Year, TCU guard Hailey Van Lith vs. her former squad where she spent three seasons.
