Longhorns named a finalist for the offensive tackle from Arizona.
Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood is looking to replenish his position room after seeing multiple players graduate to the NFL this offseason, and he is casting a wide net to do so. The Longhorns are likely taking a crooked number this cycle along the offensive line, and they were named a finalist this evening for an offensive tackle that hails from the state of Arizona.
Phoenix (AZ) Mountain Pointe three star offensive tackle Aaron Thomas announced that he has narrowed his recruitment down to five finalists and among them are the Texas Longhorns.

Along with the Longhorns, Florida State, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Washington rounded out Thomas’ top five. Along with solidifying his top five, Thomas also announced that he has locked in official visits to all of the programs that made the cut for him. Thomas will make his way to Austin to see the Longhorns on June 13th before heading to Texas A&M the following weekend.
With the Longhorns highly prioritizing guys like John Turntine and Felix Ojo at tackle, I will be curious to see where Thomas fits in the staff’s overall big board at the position. They certainly have a lot of lines in the water, and history has told us that Flood and Steve Steve Sarkisian love to load up on quality in the trenches. I am curious to see how this part of the recruiting class shakes out given the number of spots to fill.
