Earlier this month, Agiye Hall announced he’s leaving Nick Saban’s program in Tuscaloosa as he seeks out a fresh start elsewhere. He may have already found his new home.
Hall, a former four-star recruit, paid a visit to the University of Texas this last weekend. He apparently “loved” it.
Vincent Hall, Agiye’s dad, spoke with 247Sports and detailed the experience:
“It was just reconnecting with the staff and their commitment,” he said, via 247Sports.
“On the field I think he’d fit in well. A lot of the players they all have the same personalities, outgoing just being teenagers enjoying themselves and being able to experience things outside of football. That’s something he definitely enjoyed, being there with the players.”
The people of Austin, Texas appear to also have made a significant impact on Agiye.
“The alumni and the people around the Longhorns were just so friendly and outgoing,” Vincent added. “Even when he wasn’t with the coaches, they would just talk to you. They had no idea who I was and they knew of Agiye but didn’t know him by face, so just how they were engaging really stuck out to us.”
Will Agiye join Steve Sarkisian’s program in Austin?
The Texas Longhorns would certainly love to add a player with his skill-set.
