DeAndre Moore describes the differences between Arch Manning and Quinn Ewers

“Oh, you know.”

Texas Longhorns junior wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. didn’t feel the need to elaborate on Thursday after explaining the difference between redshirt sophomore quarterback Arch Manning and departed starter Quinn Ewers.

“One had baby wheels and one had super wheels,” Moore said with a laugh.

It’s not the only difference — Manning likes to flash his arm strength, too.

“Arch’s footballs come with a little bit more of a zip. Quinn’s were a little bit more of a pillow, a little bit of a cushion, he’ll kind of loft it in there. Arch is zipping that thing in there, getting it to you,” Moore said.

Manning has also developed a reputation as a more vocal leader than Ewers.

“It gives the rest of our team assurance as well,” Moore said of Manning’s confidence. “He’s our leader, and he’s going to be the guy to take the helmet and lead us into these games and these battles. So just seeing a guy like that, who’s not really sweating and sure of himself, it’s only gives me confidence to go out there and do what I need to do,” Moore said.
