Five-star Texas QB commit Dia Bell named Elite 11 MVP

The Longhorn quarterback commit puts on a show amongst the best quarterback prospects in the country.

Texas Longhorns quarterback commit Dia Bell walked into the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles as one the top rated quarterbacks in country. After three days of competing with some of the top gun slingers in the country, Bell was named the 2025 Elite 11 MVP, becoming the firs-ever Texas quarterback commit to earn the award since the competition’s inception.

Bell was one of the top two quarterbacks in attendance from the beginning of the competition to the end, as he showed that his lofty ranking among the recruiting services has been well earned.

Bell put on a clinic on Day 3 of the competition, as he recorded four touchdown tosses against zero interceptions and zero sacks during the 7-on-7 portion.

The 7-on-7 part of the competition is as close as the competitors get to live reps, so seeing Bell put up a strong performance during this part of the competition was likely the icing on the cake for him earning his MVP accolades.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee have assembled a very strong quarterback room that already consists of Arch Manning, Trey Owens, and KJ Lacey, and now they have another good one on the way in Bell. Texas is in a very healthy spot at the quarterback position and likely will continue to be as long as Sarkisian is running the show in Austin.
