Longhorns wrangle their first defensive tackle commitment of the 2025 cycle.
The Longhorns are on the board with their first commitment of the summer official visit window, and they now have their first defensive tackle commitment of the recruiting cycle.
Last night, On3’s Hayes Fawcett broke the commitment for four-star Monroe (LA) Ouachita Parish defensive tackle Dylan Berymon. Berymon is currently on an official visit to Texas this weekend, and opted to make his commitment to the Longhorns over his other finalist Purdue.

Berymon and Purdue had accumulated some serious steam over the past month and that includes On3’s Steve Wiltfong going as far as to place a prediction in favor of the Boilermakers in mid-May.

That prediction came on the heels of Berymon taking a visit to Purdue and with a commitment not coming shortly after that meant the Longhorns still gave themselves a shot to flip the momentum when he and his family made their way to Austin.

Berymon profiles as a nose tackle at the next level, where he will be able to anchor the defensive interior , where he will be able to use his play strength at the point of attack to clog up run lanes and occupy blockers.
Berymon sets a nice floor for the defensive tackle class for position Coach Kenny Baker, who has cast a wide net nationally this cycle. Berymon is the 22nd ranked defensive line prospect in the country according to 247Sports’ composite rankings and is ranked 174th overall.
