Four-star EDGE Trenton Henderson sets Texas official visit

The Florida product will visit the Longhorns instead of the Trojans.

Add another high-level prospect to the official visitor list for the Texas Longhorns next weekend, as Pensacola (Fla.) Pensacola Catholic EDGE Trenton Henderson announced on X on Monday that he will be on the Forty Acres for the final summer official visit weekend for the Longhorns.

Earlier on Monday, Henderson revealed that he cancelled his planned official visit with USC.

I will not be taking my official visit to USC this weekend.

The change of plans for the 6’4, 225-pounder comes as the Longhorns try to make a summer surge for Henderson, who has held an offer from Texas since January and took an unofficial visit to Austin last week.

It’s been a busy official visit schedule for Henderson over the last month with Auburn, Vanderbilt, LSU, Michigan, Alabama, and Florida all hosting the consensus four-star prospect. The home-state Gators are the program that is perhaps making the biggest surge with Henderson following his official visit to Gainesville over the weekend with an On3 RPM and a 247Sports Crystal Ball coming in for Florida on Monday.

So Texas may have some ground to make up when Henderson returns to the Forty Acres next weekend.

The Pensacola Catholic standout is ranked as the No. 82 player nationally and the No. 11 EDGE, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, but 247Sports ranks Henderson as a five-star prospect ranked inside the top-30 nationally.
