ROCK HILL, SC — Class of 2026 four-star wing Bo Ogden is nearing his list cut, he told ZAGSBLOG.
“Here soon I’ll probably cut it pretty short,” Ogden said. “But we’ll see. I haven’t set anything yet.”
Ogden, the 6-foot-5 wing out of Harvard Westlake (TX) and the ASAK Adidas 3SSB AAU program, describes himself as a competitor who can really shoot it, get downhill and make plays for others.
With ASAK this summer, Ogden has averaged 21.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He ranks eighth at the 17u level in scoring on the 3SSB circuit. While ASAK came up short at the 3SSB Championships, this has been a summer to remember for Ogden.
“It’s been probably my favorite summer of basketball for sure,” Ogden said. “We’ve got a tight group. It’s been really fun. We lost this last one, which is not what we wanted to do obviously. But it’s been a good summer overall.”
So far in the process, Ogden has taken an official visit to Purdue back in February. He also has a dates set with Texas (end of August) and Virginia (Sept. 25). He said Kansas and Tennessee will be the other schools he trips. Ogden is the son of former Texas basketball player and current Longhorn general manager Chris Ogden.
The four-star broke down all the programs involved to ZAGSBLOG:
Kansas: “They’ve had a lot of guys like me recently: Ochai Agbaji, Christian Braun, Johny Furphy. A lot of those bigger wing guys, guard action. But yeah, I really like them. I talk to coach [Joe] Dooley. It’s been good.”
Purdue: “[The visit] was really cool. I really like that staff. I really like coach [Matt] Painter, coach [Paul] Lusk, all those guys. It’s been good to get to know them. The facilities are really nice and I got to see a home game. It was a crazy atmosphere, so it was good. They played USC and won by 20, but it was still packed and going crazy until the buzzer.”
Tennessee: “Coach [Rick] Barnes is like my grandfather. My dad played for him. I’ve known him my whole life. I used to live in Knoxville too when my dad was there at Tennessee. But yeah, love those guys, I love Knoxville. So it’s been fun.”
Texas: “I really like coach [Sean] Miller. I started to get to know him since he’s gotten there at Texas. I didn’t know him before that, but I’ve really enjoyed getting to know those guys and I like his system.”
Virginia: “I really like the coaching staff, and it’s been great to build a relationship with each of them. They see me as being a combo guard, which is exactly what I want to be.”
Ogden said he wants to sign in the early period in November, meaning his decision will likely come this fall.
The wing is ranked the No. 49 overall prospect in the class of 2026 by 247Sports. His favorite hobby outside of basketball is golf.
