Quarterback commit Dia Bell is among four consensus five-star prospects on the Forty Acres this weekend.
Fresh off earning Elite 11 MVP honors in Los Angeles, Texas Longhorns quarterback Dia Bell is on his official visit on the Forty Acres, along with four other pledges and 13 uncommitted prospects as head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff hold the third and final summer visit weekend of June ahead of a host of key decisions.
As the leader of the 2026 recruiting class, Bell holds a key recruiting role for the Longhorns with his reputation as a potential future star burnished by his performance at Elite 11 and ranking as the nation’s No. 3 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Bell will try to take advantage of a hard push from the staff to get top recruits on campus with Loganville (Ga.) Grayson linebacker Tyler Atkinson cancelling his planned official visit to Ohio State to trip to Austin instead and Miami (Fla.) Northwestern defensive tackle James Johnson opting for a Texas official visit instead of traveling to Syracuse.
With Atkinson ranked No. 9 overall and as the No. 1 linebacker and Johnson the No. 69 player overall and the No. 8 defensive lineman, the two late additions are among seven top-100 prospects scheduled to visit Austin this weekend, including two other consensus five-star prospects in Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon EDGE Richard Wesley and Bowdon (Ga.) tight end Kaiden Prothro.
