Matthew McConaughey Shares Shocking Photo Of Swollen Eye

July 12, 2024 by The Spun

For the first time in a while, Matthew McConaughey can’t say that he’s “Alright, Alright, Alright.”

On Wednesday, McConaughey revealed that his right eye was swollen shut due to a bee. He posted a selfie on Instagram that truly captured how poorly his body reacted to this encounter.

In typical McConaughey fashion, his Instagram post included a clever caption.

“Bee swell,” McConaughey wrote.

As you can see in the photo, McConaughey can’t open his right eye. It’s legitimately swollen shut.

Most of McConaughey’s followers sent kind words to him in the comments section.

“Get well soon Mr. McConaughey,” one follower wrote. “Hopefully, you have an ice pack on your eye. Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream will have you feeling better in know time. Get your coolest shades on and know that your fans love you.”

“Somehow you can still pull off a bee sting, my. Get well soon from a fellow Texan,” another person commented.

“Of course you made light of a dark moment,” a third person replied. “No, but seriously, we hope you’re okay.”

McConaughey, 54, has been fairly quiet of late. His latest selfie is a gentle reminder that he’s still one of the coolest celebrities in Hollywood.

We’re certainly wishing McConaughey a full and speedy recovery.
