Robinson was by the Jacksonville Jaguars late last week
Former Texas Longhorns running back Keilan Robinson was waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars late last week, leaving the second-year professional temporarily without a home ahead of the 2025 NFL season. But as luck would have it for Robinson, the defending world champion Philadelphia Eagles announced they had claimed him off waivers on Saturday.

Robinson spent his rookie NFL season in Jacksonville after the franchise used a fifth-round pick on the former Longhorn in the 2024 NFL Draft; throughout last season, most of Robinson’s playing time occurred with Jacksonville’s special teams across the six games he saw playing time (notably, Robinson began his NFL career on injured reserve.) Prior to that, Robinson spent three seasons with Steve Sarkisian’s Texas program, where the multi-talented speedster saw action in 37 games and scored 11 touchdowns before declaring pro, after transferring in from Nick Saban’s Alabama, effectively following Sarkisian to Austin.
