
Longhorns look for a deeper run in the 2025 NCAA Women’s College Cup tournament
The Texas Longhorn women’s soccer team announced their schedule for the 2025 season.
Finishing No. 21 in the 2024 season, Texas seeks another NCAA Women’s College Cup run with guidance from Head Coach Ange Kelly in her 13 year the Longhorns. In 2024, the Longhorns finished the season 17-4-2 (overall), 6-3-1 (conference) and falling to Michigan State 3-2 in the second round of the NCAA Women’s College Cup.
Leading the Longhorns on the pitch; sophomore-forward Amanda Villarreal, junior-midfielder Arianna Brothers, senior-defender Breana Thompson, and junior-defender Carly Montgomery are just a some of the few Longhorns returning to the 40 acres to look out for on the pitch.
With 18 games in the 2025 season, the Longhorns kick off and exhibition match against the UTSA Roadrunners on August 8 at 7 pm CT at Makie A Myers Stadium and Soccer Field.
