Jordan has two years of eligibility remaining.
A consensus four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class out of Denton Ryan, Jordan was ranked as the No. 256 player nationally and the No. 21 safety, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. After taking official visits to Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas, Jordan committed to the Longhorns in July 2021 over 19 other offers, including Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas A&M, and USC.
As a freshman, Jordan appeared in all 13 games, serving as a backup cornerback and core special teams player with 144 snaps on special teams, including 89 on kickoff coverage, recording seven tackles with a half tackle for loss.
After moving to nickel back in 2023, Jordan saw less playing time on defense, playing just 21 snaps, although he did record his first interception in the season opener against Rice. Jordan also emerged as a key special teams contributor in 221 snaps, returning a blocked point-after attempt for an 82-yard score in the win over Iowa State. PFF credited Jordan with two special teams tackles to close out the regular season against Texas Tech while the school credited him with tackles on special teams against Kansas State and Iowa State. Jordan missed the Big 12 Championship game and the Sugar Bowl due to injury.
Jordan is the sixth Texas player to leave the program during the spring transfer window and puts the Longhorns at 82 scholarships for the fall.
