The Horns are hosting 14 official visitors, including five-star defensive lineman Lamar Brown.
Currently sitting at eight pledges in the 2026 recruiting class, the Texas Longhorns are set to start heating up on the recruiting trail entering three critical official visit weekends in June during which head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff will host the vast majority of their eventual signees in the class.
While many programs have already started the official visit process, Sarkisian uses the month of May to focus on his assistants taking in-home visits and evaluating prospects in person while players take time off following finals.
When players are back on campus for summer conditioning — and available to serve as hosts and program advocates — the first three weekends in June serve as the most important visit weekends of the year.
The staff has already built relationships with the prospects throughout the recruiting process, getting them on campus for camps, games, and other offseason recruiting events, and will look to further solidify those relationships or the commitments of players making summer decisions.
But the staff also understands that many prospects will still be recruited until Early Signing Day, regardless of their summer decisions. Last cycle, defensive tackles Josiah Sharma and Myron Charles and cornerback Kade Phillips all made high-profile summer pledges to other schools, but ended up in the No. 1-ranked recruiting class for the Longhorns on ESD.
