Texas QB Arch Manning Reveals Biggest Change He’s Made This Offseason

Arch Manning’s on-field presence was limited during his freshman season at Texas this past year. But the Manning scion is hoping that he can continue to improve even as he waits for Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers to hand over the reins.

Speaking to reporters at the Manning Passing Academy, the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning said that he’s made a big chance during this offseason. He explained that the change is to let the offense come to him and try to get the ball out to his playmakers faster while getting better every day.

“Not trying to make too many plays on our own,” Manning said, via HTVHouma. “Just let the offense come to me, get it in the playmaker’s hands and just trying to get better each day.”

Manning certainly didn’t have many opportunities to do much of anything with his playmakers in 2023. He threw just five passes and has seven rushing yards while Ewers did nearly all of the heavy lifting.

Chances are Manning won’t see the field much in 2024 unless Ewers either gets injured or the game has been such an overwhelming blowout that his services aren’t needed.

As a result, it wouldn’t be a big shock if Manning doesn’t see the field consistently until his 2025 junior season.

Will Manning be able to do enough this summer to get more playing time?
