Ranked as the No. 167 overall prospect in the 2022 MLB Draft out of Aledo in the 2022 recruiting class, Belyeu landed on the Forty Acres, but only had 20 at bats as a freshman.
During the 2024 season, the 6’2, 215-pounder broke out, earning Big 12 Player of the Year honors after batting .329 average with 50 runs, 15 doubles, 18 home runs, and 53 RBI.
As a junior, Belyeu missed 26 contests due to a thumb injury, but still reached safely in 30 of his 32 games played, slashing .303/.410/.576 with nine home runs and 29 RBI.
With an ability to hit for average and power from the left side, Belyeu also has a strong enough arm to profile as a right fielder at the professional level.
The slot value for the No. 74 pick is $1.1 million.
