Infielder Carson Luna, right-hander Easton Tumis, and catcher Oliver Service have all departed the Longhorns program.
The turnover on the back end of the Texas Longhorns roster continued on Thursday with three players entering the NCAA transfer portal — freshman infielder Carson Luna, sophomore catcher Oliver Service, and redshirt sophomore right-hander Easton Tumis.
Request for SEC players in the portal. Sorry, this took so long @NWAHutch. Reminder, the portal runs August ’24 to July ’25. So you’ll see players who weren’t on the ’25 rosters because they were cut/left early in the winter cycle, but still technically entered with that school. pic.twitter.com/7XzydI9h7q

Luna did not appear in a game for the Longhorns in 2025 after signing with the previous coaching staff as a member of the 2024 recruiting class ranked as the No. 141 prospect and the No. 35 shortstop, according to Perfect Game.
A Detroit (Mich.) University Liggett product, Service signed with Texas as a member of the 2023 recruiting class ranked as the No. 361 prospect and the No. 36 catcher, according to Perfect Game.
Over two seasons with the Longhorns, Service appeared in eight games, receiving a start against UT Arlington this season when starter Rylan Galvan was dealing with a minor injury. Service batted 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI, and two runs scored last season before going hitless in his three at bats sin 2025, striking out twice.
Tumis, a 6’4, 155-pounder from Friendswood, was ranked as the No. 199 prospect and the No. 58 right-handed pitcher in the 2023 recruiting class, according to Perfect Game.
Tumis made 21 appearances with one start in 2024, going 3-1 with a 5.08 ERA and 27 strikeouts across 28.1 innings, but did not make any appearances this season.
Nine Texas players have now entered the portal since the end of the 2025 season.
