It’s safe to say Texas Longhorns fans are downright giddy about the fact that Arch Manning is ready to step in at quarterback for the 2025 college football season. Down-right. Gid-dy.
Manning, an incoming redshirt sophomore, is seemingly doing his part in preparing to assume the reigns of Texas’ offense, too, according to some of recent workout footage.
Take QB Country’s recent clip as an example:

Manning’s debut as full-time starting quarterback has been long anticipated in Austin.
Manning began his Longhorns career as Texas’ third-string quarterback back in 2023, behind Maalik Murphy, who’s since left the program via the NCAA Transfer Portal, and Quinn Ewers, who was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh-round of this year’s NFL Draft. That season, Manning saw playing time only twice as he made use of his redshirt season.
In 2024, Manning saw two starts across the 10 games he recorded playing time. Overall last season, he passed for 934 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions, as well as 104 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
